Edible Spotlight: Cleopatra Oregano

Here's a real winner for your herb garden: 'Cleopatra' took home the 2015 All-America Selections award, and once you taste it, you'll see why. It's different from the Greek and Italian oreganos you may be used to—milder and spicier at the same time, with a lovely peppermint undertone that makes it wonderful on roasted veggies and savory meat dishes. In the garden, it has a tidy creeping habit with gorgeous silvery gray leaves that look as good as they smell. It's equally happy in a raised bed or a container on the patio. And since this is a high-yield plant, you'll have plenty to dry and enjoy all year long.
